All Chevy models have some incredible safety features that help you with daily driving, including the stylish and speedy 2024 Chevrolet Camaro. When you stop by your Chevy dealer to check out this model, you’re not just checking out a fabulous sports car: you’re checking out a vehicle from an automaker who genuinely cares about your safety on and off the track.

1. Rear Vision Camera

All models of the Camaro are equipped with a rear vision camera to help you with backing up and generally seeing the area to the back of your vehicle. You can also add an overlay image of where your vehicle is heading, making it even easier for you to safely get where you need to go in reverse.

2. Airbag System

Every version of this car has an airbag system consisting of head-curtain airbags for all outboard seating positions, seat-mounted side-impact airbags for people in the front of the car, knee airbags for people in the front of the car, and frontal airbags for the people up front.

3. Forward Collision Alert

Forward Collision Alert becomes standard on the 3LT model and higher. It can detect any vehicles in front of you, and it warns you if it’s likely you’ll collide with them. If you’re following a car too closely, then this feature can also warn you so you can adjust your following distance.

4. Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone and Alert

Like the feature above, this feature is available on the 3LT and above, as are the next two features we’re covering. When a car is detected approaching or already in your blind spot, you’ll see an alert in your side mirror. This makes changing lanes safer, as you’ll always know if there’s something in your blind zone making it unsafe to make the change at the time.

5. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

It’s tricky enough to drive in reverse without factoring in cars approaching from either side. With Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, knowing when a vehicle is approaching from the side while you’re reversing a significantly easier, as your car will send you an alert about it. This will allow you to pause and let the car pass before you continue backing up.

6. Rear Park Assist

Rear Park Assist helps you avoid collisions by alerting you when there are objects detected behind your vehicle. This makes it easy to park in reverse and pull out of parking spaces without colliding with stationary objects such as walls, lamp posts, fire hydrants, and anything else that could get in your path.
