Understanding Your 2024 Chevy Warranty

The cargo in the rear of a vehicle

Every new Chevy is covered by a comprehensive warranty that protects you against the unlikely possibility of any issue with the materials or workmanship that went into its creation. We want to tell you more about the coverage you enjoy with your 2024 Chevy warranty.

Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty

This warranty covers most of the systems and components in your Chevy. The only items not covered are those included in other warranties below or which are specifically excluded. Excluded items and situations are listed in your warranty booklet. Examples of situations not covered by warranty include accidental damage, unauthorized alterations, or routine maintenance.

Coverage under this warranty extends for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever happens first. This warranty also includes coverage for the full labor cost for tires and pro rata costs for replacement tires.

Powertrain Limited Warranty

Your engine, transmission, and drive system are all protected under this warranty for five years or 60,000 miles. If your vehicle has a transaxle and transfer case, these systems are also covered under this warranty. Some components, like the radiator, hoses, and wiring, are not covered by this warranty. The full list of all covered and non-covered components is included in your warranty booklet.

Corrosion Protection

All sheet and body metal in your Chevy has a special protective coating applied during construction. The coating seals the metal against any corrosion damage. If corrosion appears during the warranty period, the affected section or sections will be replaced at no cost. Corrosion protection applies for three years or 36,000 miles.

Rust-Through Protection

Rust-through is rust that forms a whole through a piece of metal from one side to the other. Your Chevy is protected against the possibility of rust-through for the first six years or 100,000 miles.

Federal Emissions Warranty

Your Chevy's emissions system meets the standards required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and converts 99% of dangerous chemicals produced by combustion into harmless chemicals. Most emissions system components are covered against any defect for two years or 24,000 miles.

The engine control unit, catalytic converter, and several other components have enhanced protection that applies for eight years or 80,000 miles.

Additional Warranty Benefits

You also receive two complementary benefits that apply for the duration of your warranty.

Roadside Assistance

Roadside assistance is available 24/7/365 to help you with any unforeseen situations that might occur. Skilled technicians will arrive and can change a tire, jump-start your car, provide lock-out assistance, or deliver fuel if you need it.

Courtesy Transportation

If your Chevy needs to go into the shop for a warranty repair, you receive the option of alternative transportation or reimbursement for transportation expenses.

5 Benefits of Getting Car Financing at Your Chevrolet Dealership

You generally have a lot of options when it comes to getting car financing, but not every option will be the right one for you. Getting financing from the Chevrolet dealership, however, is likely to be the most appealing way to get financing due to the sheer number of benefits it offers. From a fast-tracked process to approval for people with low credit scores, there are many great things about dealership financing. more 1. Quick Online Application Not all banks and credit unions allow you to quickly fill out an application and get preapproved for financing online. However, our dealership has a finance application you can fill out without having to leave the house. Once you find out whether you're approved for a loan, you can come to the dealership and start shopping. 2. Incredible Convenience Getting a loan from a dealership isn't just convenient because you can get preapproved online. It's also convenient because it allows you to handle all aspects of getting a new car in one place. Once you're preapproved for a loan, you can visit our dealership and pick out a new car. While you're here, you can also sell us your old car to reduce the price of your new one, and then you can drive home in your brand-new vehicle. 3. Bad Credit Loans Some people have a low credit score or bad credit history, but that shouldn't stop you from being able to get a loan. However, banks and credit unions are typically hesitant to offer loans to people who don't have the best credit score or credit history. This isn't an issue with dealership financing, as dealers are more willing to work with people whose credit score isn't in the best shape. 4. Special Offers Automakers sometimes run promotional offers where they allow you to buy a new car with low or 0% interest. However, to qualify for this, you need to have excellent credit and get your loan through a dealer. So, if your credit history is squeaky clean, then heading to the dealership to see if there are any offers running is a great way to get a new car at a low price. 5. Limited Paperwork When shopping around for a loan by yourself, there's typically a lot of paperwork to fill out, or you may need to fill out numerous online applications. When applying for financing through a dealer, there's very little paperwork to fill out, which saves time and makes applying for a loan less tedious.
